But be aware of radiation.
Many wireless baby phones have extras like a monitor or temerature messuring, or technical extras like pinging the base station for secure connection.
All these functions make the baby phone emit radiation PERMANENTLY !
Most Baby phones use the DECT standard with pulsed microwaves. This type of radiation is under suspicion to influence brain activity, raising risk of cancer, affecting the immune system and cause insomina.
Additionally most phones have gigantic ranges from 100 meter and more. So there's a corresponding sending power.
For that reasons, we bought the "Vivanco BM 440 Eco Plus".
The big advantage is that it only transmits, when a sensor in the phone recognizes a noise from the baby. It has no gadgets that cause a permanent transmission like a monitor or connection control, it transmits just pure sound and has a quite small range of 75 meter. Also the phone itself is build for low level radiation. In a review the testers recognized a small radiation just in a distance of below 10 cm, above 10 cm the radiation level was 0 !
Maybe somebody can translate it or find a similar review in English.
We haven't had any problems with the connection, so we don't miss the connection ping. Also Lea didn't harm herself any time because of a missing monitor.
A low radiation pollution especially in the close vicinity of her has a higher priority for us than the comfort functions.
So if you don't want to miss these comfort functions, put the baby phone as far away as possible from the baby, especially from the head ! That reduces the radiation level.
