Check out our global directory of father support groups. How to get rid off cradle cap - olive oil works for toddlers as well!

So we went back to our old remedy of putting olive oil on her head. We bath her in olive oil all the time anyway and it's great for her skin. So we just used some of that on her head as well. We use ordinary cooking olive oil - however the one we've got comes in a pump spray bottle for extra convenience (keep it practical!) So we just sprayed it into her hair a few times and then picked off the cradle cap flakes after a while. After doing this for a few days the cradle cap went away. It's been gone for a week now and no signs of coming back. Result! -Scott Check out our book "Call Me Dad" - the new must-read for new dads and dads-to-be. Pyper is 16 months now and dare I say will have lots of things wild and wacky in her hair ... but cradle cap isn't one of them! Lately, while playing around running our fingernails over her head we've noticed that good old cradle cap seems to have appeared from nowhere again! We thought it only affected babies in the first few months ... apparently this is not so!
