Check out our global directory of father support groups. Widgets and Gadgets - Baby Milk Espresso Machine

Some of the baby gadgets that I have come across are things like the Alarm Blanket – this goes off when the baby stops breathing, there are interactive educational books, baby rocking machines, lazy boys for mums who breast feed, nappy disposable buckets and then my favourite as a guy – the milk espresso machine. This a must for all bottle fed babies - we've got one! It does make life easier ... but does it make it more expensive also? Well I believe both – the milk espresso for example allows you to bottle feed a lot more easily, it makes up your bottle within 5 seconds and gives you the right amount of formula and dispenses this with water and the right temperature, so no "mucking around" in the middle of the night. It can be done by dad also, no problem at all – it even sterilizes the bottle for you in 8 minutes. Is it a gadget or a necessity? There are lots of interesting and different products that are on the market – I love the machine but for the price it's expensive, and once you start adding all your bits and pieces together it starts getting rather costly. I'd still recommend it though At any one time there are thousands of "gadget" products that are being produced so we don't need all of them. So unlike a few of our other friends who all seem to have mini baby factories in their home my little girl will grow up with a few toys and will appreciate the things that she has the rest is as they say just for show!

In terms of new babies do widgets and gadgets make our life easier? The market for babies and gadgets go hand in hand, ever been to someone's house who has lots of "man toys" and you have felt like you've stepped into a toy shop?

That is such a great response thanks for that - i never looked at it in relation to becoming closer to my daughter but you are correct it has done the same thing for me so that I know how much she should be drinking at any one time.
The price has slightly put a couple of my friends off but its a multi purpose machine so they either get it or they dont its that simple.

We purchased one of these
We purchased one of these machines before our little girl was born. My wife was unable to breast feed and we stumbled across this machine at the parent & child show. Let me say for a new Daddy this product is fantastic. I had no idea what I was doing at first but once I set this machine up I was giving demonstrations to all our friends. Most of our friends were gob-smacked at fresh warm milk ready to go in seconds. Perfect for those middle of the night feeds and when the 'old lady' decides she's just to tired to flicker an eye lid. I feel this machine brought me closer to my daughter as I was able to help feed her quicker and faster.
Gotta get one!!!
