Mission Possible - playing Jenga with your toddler

Have you heard of "Jenga" (or you might know this game by another name) - check out the following clip and you'll know what I mean:

Keeping your toddler entertained - let them watch ... the washing machine

Over the last few months we've noticed a growing interest in washing machines in our son. He started out being slightly scared of the strange machine in the bathroom that occasionally makes a lot of noise. These days he can hardly contain his excitement when we put it on and he is allowed to watch. He literally stands there watching the clothes being washed till the washing machine gets to the point where the top needs to be closed. It's really cool with the top loader we've got as it lets you keep the lid open for about 15 minutes into the wash. Then it makes a noise to indicate that the lid needs to be closed (god knows what happens inside at that point). Eventually of course it goes into the spinning cycle and understandably the top needs to be closed for that.

Keeping your toddler entertained - take them to a ... CAR WASH

We're selling our car ... so I figured it would be good to give it a proper wash before handing it over to the buyer. As it turned out I happened to have Noah with me when I took the car to the car wash. As we were queuing up for the automated car wash I noticed that Noah was fascinated by the whole spectacle of the cars in front of us being washed. So I took him out of his car seat and put him on my lap behind the steering wheel as we went in.
