Dads - the force is with you

If you've watched the Superbowl you would have probably seen this ... either way just such a great ad. In our own ways we all use "the force" with our children every day to surprise them and make their lives special. Awesome!

Luke ... I'm your ... shoe!

Star Wars dads check this out ... you can now get shoes for your kids that resemble some of the key characters in Star Wars. Amazing what you can do with shoes these days! The shoes are called "stride rite" and come as 4 different characters (Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Captain Rex and Boba Fett) - look them up online if this is your kind of thing.


3 Things you probably didn't know about shoes and feet:
* Up until age 5, the foot is still forming and is mostly cartilage
* The arch begins forming at age 2 and it is normal for a child to develop a fairly complete arch by age 6
* Children's feet remain vulnerable to ill-fitting shoes right through their school days, up to the age of 18 years

iPhone dads and star wars fans

If you've got an iPhone and a toddler you must know about the iPhone lightsaber application by Lucasfilm Ltd. If you haven't heard of it - get down from whatever planet you are on, hop on the App Store and download the "Lightsaber Unleashed" app. It is very cool and will allow you to produce endless videos of your toddler acting out real-life light saber duells (and with no risk of losing life or limb).
