Thomas the tank engine

Trainsformers

This ultimate boy toy mash up video was created by James Farr for his son ... absolutely incredible!!! "Opthomas Prime" ... classic.

Truly inspiring to see what dads create for their kids - fantastic.

Enjoy,

Vintage "Thomas the Tank Engine" books

Check this out - I just found this old "Thomas the Tank Engine" (series 3) book in an old shop. It still has a reference to the original publishers (Edmun Ward) in it. I guess at some point the publishers were bought or bought out by Random House who are now publishing the Thomas books. So the following is either Edmund Ward's or Random House's copyright (certainly not ours) but I just thought it would be great to show how some of the old books looked:

DIY with dad - youtube remakes

Just came across this video clip which (in my mind at least) is a nice story of how a dad helped his son produce a remake of a Thomas the Tank Engine video. The boy who sings and tells the story is obviously very passionate about Thomas the Tank Engine and has made his own version of a story. What a great way to help your kids explore their creative potential by lending them a helping hand with the camera or editing and publishing the final product on youtube. Cool - so get creative with your kids!

The father of all tank engines - Reverend Awdry

I recently came across this very rare footage of an interview with Reverend Wilbert Awdry - literally the father of Thomas the Tank Engine. The interview is from an old BBC documentary about a historic train journey of the Flying Scotsman from London to Edinburgh in 1962. Reverend Awdry was on that train and talks about how he came up with all the names for Thomas' friends.

It's a must watch if your little one is into Thomas!

Enjoy,

Stefan
